Land Training

A key part of rowing training is that which is done away from the water. Our land training comprises strength work, cardio and exercises on ergometers (indoor rowing machines).

Hillingdon Rowing Club has been kindly permitted to use the facilities at the Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth.

We meet for land training on Wednesday evenings. The sessions are open to members and non-members of Hillingdon Rowing Club. You can join in if you just want to come and train or if you want meet the team behind the club before going out on the water.

The session is split into juniors (under 18) and seniors. Juniors train from 7pm to 8pm, seniors train from 8pm to 9pm. The session costs £2 for juniors and £3 for seniors.

The sessions vary from week to week, but are mostly split between ergo work and circuits.

The entrance to the school is located on the Chorleywood Road (A404), not far from Rickmansworth Tube Station. Once you have entered the school grounds, the road naturally takes you towards the car park.

The path from the car park to the sports hall is not obvious, but this map should help.
